RCM Executive Committee
RCM’s Executive Committee represents all constituents of the firm and is responsible for establishing and implementing RCM’s business strategy as well as reviewing financials and resource allocations. Additionally, the Executive Committee reviews the quality of investment products, sales, client services, operational workflows and assesses operational risk on a regular basis.

Joy Doran

General Counsel
BiographyJoy Doran joined RCM in 1998 and is General Counsel for RCM UK. As General Counsel she is primarily responsible for heading the firm's legal and human resource departments, as well as providing general oversight to the UK compliance team. Joy is also a member of the firm's London Executive Committee. Prior to joining RCM Joy was employed at Salomon Brothers Asset Management as In House Legal Counsel. Joy graduated from the University of Glasgow in law and holds both an LLB (hons) and Masters degree.

Michael D Hooper
Executive Chairman UK
BiographyMichael Hooper is Executive Chairman of RCM’s UK business, and Chairman of RCM’s Global Operations Group. He joined RCM in June 1999 from Henderson Global Investors. In 2002 he became Chief Financial Officer of Allianz Global Investors/RCM and in 2004 became Chief Operating Officer before assuming his current role in April 2006. Previously at Henderson, Mr. Hooper worked in the financial services audit and accountancy practice at KPMG in London from 1989 to 1994. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Mark Lovett

BiographyMark joined RCM in 2002 as Portfolio Manager for UK & European Equities; he is now head of the team in London. Mark joined from Deutsche Asset Management where he spent four-years as a Director within the UK Equity Institutional team responsible for managing balanced and high performance funds. Prior to this Mark spent four-years at Fleming Investment Management, where he worked as UK Investment Manager within the Balanced Pension Fund Team. Mark began his investment career at Baring Asset Management in 1986 as an analyst, before becoming a UK Investment Manager in 1989.

Lucy Macdonald, ASIP

CIO, Global Equities
BiographyLucy joined RCM in October 2001. She heads the Global Equity Fund Management team, which is responsible for global mandates from clients around the world with currently over $10bn of assets under management. She was instrumental in launching the Global High Alpha product five years ago, now representing over $5bn of global equity assets, which she now manages. Retail funds following this strategy include the DIT-Interglobal retail fund (S&P AA rated since December 2007) and the AGIF Allianz RCM Global Equity Fund (also S&P AA rated). Prior to RCM, Lucy spent 16 years, latterly as a Director and Senior Portfolio Manager, at Baring Asset Management managing High Alpha UK and global funds. Lucy graduated from Bristol University in 1984, and is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP). She was made a Managing Director of RCM in December 2007.

Roger Miners

Head of Institutional Business Development & Client Service
BiographyRoger is a Managing Director and the Head of Institutional Business Development & Client Service for RCM based in London. He is a member of the Global Executive Committee, the Global Business Management Group, the UK Board and chairs the Global Sales & Marketing Committee. Roger joined RCM in December 1999 and was previously Global Head of Product Specialists and a member of the Global Equity team where he founded the Global High Alpha strategy, which now represents over $7bn of assets under management. Before joining RCM, he was an Analyst at the British Bankers’ Association. Roger was born in Holland, brought up in Switzerland and educated in England. Roger graduated with a top First (BSc Hons) in business management, and is fluent in French.

Simon White

Head of Investment Trusts
BiographySimon has a background in UK Equity fund management (managing investment trusts, unit trusts and pension funds) and has been head of the closed end business of RCM, and its predecessors since 1992. He is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and a graduate of Oxford University. Simon has been responsible for overseeing the launch of four of our current range of eight closed end funds and has served as a board member of a several investment companies, including funds set up to invest in Europe, India, the UK and mid term endowment policies, as well as a number of debenture financing vehicles.
