RCM is bound by the requirements of the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Privacy Act") that regulate how private sector organisations handle personal information.
This privacy policy applies to RCM. The aim of this policy is to give you comfort that we take steps to keep the personal information provided by you to us secure.
1. What personal information is collected?
Personal information is information or an opinion, whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion.
Essentially, it means any information that can identify you.
In providing services to you we may request you to provide certain details, including your name and contact information, email address, date of birth, tax file number and bank account details.
The personal information collected and held by us may be used for our operations, for providing services, for the promotion and marketing of our business and services and for consumer research. We may also collect personal information through our websites to monitor who is accessing our websites or using services offered on our websites, and to profile the type of people accessing the website. We generally collect this information directly from you.
We will generally not collect sensitive information about you (such as your health) unless we require this information to provide you with services. If we do require this type of information, we will request your consent at the time this information is collected (unless an exemption exists under the law).
If you do not provide personal information requested by us, we may not be able to provide you with our services or fulfil another applicable purpose of collection.
2. How is this personal information collected and stored?
The way that personal information is collected and stored depends on the services you request from us. Personal information about you may be collected through a variety of means, including through application forms, order forms, when you register to receive information or to join a mailing list, when you send us emails or if you speak directly with our staff.
We may also collect personal information from you when you use our web sites. We may utilize cookies which enable us to monitor traffic patterns and to serve you more efficiently if you revisit our sites. A cookie does not identify you personally but it does identity your computer. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and this will provide you with an opportunity to either accept or reject it in each instance.
We take reasonable precautions to protect the personal information we hold about you from misuse and loss, and from unauthorized access, destruction, modification, use or disclosure. However, we remind you that no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and that any information disclosed online may potentially be collected and used by parties other than the intended recipient.
3. How is this personal information used and disclosed?
Personal information is used and disclosed for the primary purpose for which it is collected, and for other purposes which you consent to or which are permitted without your consent under the Privacy Act. We may also use and disclose personal information for purposes related or ancillary to the primary purpose for which it was collected. The personal information collected from you by us may be used for a range of purposes including without limitation to:

We may disclose the personal information we collect about you to different companies within the Allianz Group.
We may transfer personal information out of Australia.
4. Will this personal information be given to anyone else?
In some circumstances, personal information may be disclosed outside the Allianz Group to our financial advisers, law enforcement agencies, government agencies, courts, or to our external legal advisers and other advisers. We may also disclose your personal information to service providers such as mailing houses, printing companies, IT consultants, custodians and external administrators.
We take steps to ensure that those service providers comply with the Privacy Act and are only authorised to use personal information to perform the functions required by us. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Will changes be made to this Privacy Policy?
This statement sets out our current Privacy Policy. Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy when you visit our website for any changes.
6. How can you access and correct your personal information?
You may ask us to give you access to the personal information that we hold about you. On request by you, we will provide you with access to the personal information (unless an exception applies under the Privacy Act). We will process your request for access to your personal information in a reasonable time and may recover from you our reasonable cost of providing the information to you. If we refuse to provide you with access, we will explain the reasons for this and inform you of any exceptions under the Privacy Act which we have relied upon in doing so.
Please contact us if you believe or know that personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete. At your request we will take reasonable steps to correct information about you that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
